Life doesn’t move in straight lines.
Growing up involves a lot of trial & error and ‘figuring out’.
There are the changes we expect—starting high school, leaving home, entering adulthood, relationships beginning and ending—and the ones we don't. A move. A loss. A shift in family. A friendship that changes. Realizing that the person you've been doesn't quite fit anymore.
Sometimes the transition is less visible. You may simply feel uncertain about who you are, where you belong, or what comes next.
Maybe some of this feels familiar.
“I’m trying so hard. Why does it never feel like enough?”
“Everyone thinks I’m doing fine, but I’m so exhausted.”
“There’s so much happening and so much change. I just don’t know how to feel right now.”
“I’m always worried I’m disappointing someone.”
“I want to feel like I belong without having to try so hard.”
“I’m tired of feeling uncertain and overwhelmed, even when things should be simple.”
WAYS WE MIGHT WORK TOGETHER
Support for the in-between.
-
Figuring out who you are often comes with questions about where - and with whom - you belong. Whether you’re navigating different cultures, relationships, communities, or versions of yourself, therapy can offer space to explore what has shaped you, reconnect with what matters to you, and make room for who you’re becoming.
-
There’s a lot happening beneath “I’m fine.”
Anxiety, ADHD, school stress, friendships, family changes, identity & growing up.
Adolescence can hold an enormous amount of change at once.
School pressure. Friendships. Family relationships. Identity. Independence. Expectations. Bodies changing. Futures getting closer.
And sometimes what a teen is experiencing doesn't come out neatly in words.
I work with middle and high school students experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, identity questions, ADHD-related challenges, relationship difficulties, grief, school transitions, and other changes that can make adolescence feel especially complicated.
Sessions are collaborative and developmentally responsive. Depending on the teen, our work may include conversation, creative expression, mindfulness, movement, storytelling, or other experiential ways of exploring what's happening.
For parents, I aim to balance two important things: giving your teen a relationship and space that feels genuinely their own while collaborating thoughtfully with you when appropriate to support their growth.
-
You don’t have to know what’s next.
Overthinking, relationships, independence, identity, work or school, and figuring out adulthood.
Your twenties and thirties can look like adulthood from the outside while feeling surprisingly uncertain from the inside.
Relationships change. Careers begin—or don't go as planned. Family roles shift. Old identities stop fitting. Questions about purpose, culture, belonging, independence, and what kind of life you actually want become harder to ignore.
Therapy can offer somewhere to think honestly about those questions without needing to rush toward an answer.
You can be grieving and growing at the same time. You can be becoming someone new while still carrying who you've been.
-
When “Where are you from?” doesn’t have a simple answer.
Culture, belonging, transitions, grief, identity, home & living between worlds.
Growing up across cultures can create a relationship with identity and belonging that is difficult to explain to people who haven't lived it.
Third Culture Kids (TCKs), globally mobile young people, and those navigating cross-cultural identities may carry many places, communities, languages, relationships, and versions of themselves at once.
There can be tremendous richness in that experience. There can also be grief.
Moving, repatriating, changing schools, leaving friendships behind, adapting to new cultures, or wondering where "home" actually is can shape how a young person understands themselves and their relationships.
I offer therapy that makes room for the complexity of belonging to more than one world—and sometimes feeling completely at home in none of them.
-
Change can be exciting, disorienting, painful - and often all these at once. Whether it’s moving, changing schools, navigating relationships, experiencing loss, entering adulthood, or simply wondering who am I becoming?, therapy can offer space to slow things down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and find your footing in what comes next.
-
When trying harder isn’t helping.
Understanding your brain, overwhelm, executive functioning, emotional intensity, shame & self-trust.
A place to slow your story down.
I don’t believe therapy is about fixing you or figuring out the “right” way to be.
I think of therapy as a place to slow your story down—to get curious about what you’re carrying, the relationships and experiences that have shaped you, the ways you’ve learned to adapt, and what matters to you now.
You don’t have to arrive knowing exactly what’s wrong or what to say. We can begin wherever you are, making room for who you’ve been and who you’re still becoming.

Therapy can look a little different here.
A session with me might start with breathwork and grounding, or we might chat about your day over a game of Uno. Or if it’s your style, we’ll jump right into mapping out where your patterns came up this week.
My approach is relational, curious, and collaborative. I’ll meet you where you are while helping you notice connections, understand yourself more deeply, and find ways of moving through life that feel more like your own.
About Me
Hi, I’m Praise!
I work with teens and emerging adults navigating the complicated process of becoming themselves.
My clinical foundation is relational and psychodynamic which means I'm interested not only in what you're experiencing, but in how your relationships, history, culture, environment, and ways of adapting have shaped the way you experience yourself and others.
I bring curiosity, warmth, and a sense of play into the room. Therapy with me isn't about analyzing you from a distance or handing you a script for how you're supposed to live. It's a space in which we can slow things down, become curious about what's happening, and make room for parts of your experience that may not have had much room before.

Currently I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. I offer a limited number of sliding-scale spaces and am happy to talk with you about a fee that feels both manageable and sustainable.
I know that cost is an important part of choosing a therapist. You’re welcome to ask about fees, sliding-scale availability, or any other practical questions during a free 15-minute consultation. My hope is that you can make an informed decision without feeling pressured.
-
If you are not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care. I can provide additional information upon request.

A credit or debit card will be kept securely on file and charged after the appointment. Please contact me before your session if you have questions or concerns about payment.
-
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.

You don't have to have it figured out to begin.
Let’s connect. Whether you're reaching out for yourself, or looking for support for your teen, we can start with a brief consultation.
It's a chance for me to learn a little about what's bringing you to therapy, for you to ask questions, and for us to get a sense of whether working together might feel like a good fit.
