Life doesn’t move in straight lines.

Growing up involves a lot of becoming.

There are the changes we expect—starting high school, leaving home, entering adulthood, relationships beginning and ending—and the ones we don't. A move. A loss. A shift in family. A friendship that changes. Realizing that the person you've been doesn't quite fit anymore.

Sometimes the transition is less visible. You may simply feel uncertain about who you are, where you belong, or what comes next.

I work with teens and emerging adults through these in-between seasons: creating space to understand what's changing, make sense of what you're carrying, and develop a stronger sense of yourself along the way.

A place to slow your story down.

Therapy doesn't have to begin with knowing exactly what's wrong or knowing exactly what to say.

Sometimes we start with a conversation. Other times, understanding emerges through a story, a relationship, something creative, noticing what's happening in your body, or simply having enough space to sit with an experience differently.

My approach is relational and collaborative. Rather than approaching you as a problem to solve, I'm interested in understanding your experience with you: the relationships that have shaped you, the stories you've learned about yourself, the ways you've adapted, and the person you're still becoming.

Where are you finding yourself?

Wanting to better understand who I am and show up better for myself and those I care about.
Feeling scattered and overwhelmed and wanting to feel different and more aligned with myself.
Wanting to feel confident and stop feeling unsure about myself and my choices.
Not wanting to keep feeling as though I'm letting myself and those I love down.
Frustrated with knowing what needs to change but not being able to take action.
Disoriented and unsure how to feel or process changes in my life.
Wishing my actions and responses could align with the person I want to be.
Just wanting to feel like I'm understood or belong for once.

About Me

Hi, I’m Praise!

I work with teens and emerging adults navigating the complicated process of becoming themselves.

My clinical foundation is relational and psychodynamic which means I'm interested not only in what you're experiencing, but in how your relationships, history, culture, environment, and ways of adapting have shaped the way you experience yourself and others.

I bring curiosity, warmth, and a sense of play into the room. Therapy with me isn't about analyzing you from a distance or handing you a script for how you're supposed to live. It's a space in which we can slow things down, become curious about what's happening, and make room for parts of your experience that may not have had much room before.

You don't have to have it figured out to begin.

Let’s connect. Whether you're reaching out for yourself, or looking for support for your teen, we can start with a brief consultation.

It's a chance for me to learn a little about what's bringing you to therapy, for you to ask questions, and for us to get a sense of whether working together might feel like a good fit.
